That truck won't be going anywhere soon, what a great picture.:) I was just reading your post on how to make a rag basket, I had never heard of that before but can see how it would have been a great use for old clothes and sheets during those times..very interesting. So many of these old ways have been lost to the rest of us it is good that you share these things for others to see.
Elsa, I have a Nikon D100, which I bought in September, so I am still learning to use it. This photo was taken with a telephoto lens, my food photos are taken with an AF-S NIKKOR 35mm 1:1.8G (which just means I can take photos as close as 1 inch away). My next purchase will be a macro lens, but that will be a few months away. You mentioned the light in an earlier comment, I use an external flash (I think it is called), the Nikon speedlight SB-600. The external flash has made a huge difference, I aim the flash to the ceiling and because my ceilings are white I get a good bounce off and plenty of light. It was a splurge that I have been having a lot of fun with. My husband's hobby is his motorcycle, I guess cooking, photos, writing and reading are mine (mostly inexpensive).
Very beautiful picture. I love the "old country" looking photos. What kind of camera do you have?
ReplyDeleteDitto - a gorgeous photo - needs to be framed!

Forgot to say that this photo was retouched by Picasa, a free program, the original was too dark due to the VERY foggy day.
