Sense of Home Kitchen
I have placed a To Do: list on the right hand side of the page, just below my "Preserved" list. I always have a mental list of several projects and recipes I want to try, however, the problem with mental lists is that I forget too easily what I wanted to experiment with next or where I saved that link to a recipe that sounded so good. Often I am researching a "someday" project, large or small, and need a handy place to keep the link to an idea or information. Other items on the list are projects I am in the middle of and want to keep the reference link easily accessible.
As I complete a project you will note a √ mark in front of the item. After some time or perhaps after a post about the project the item will be removed from the list. Some items on the list may disappear for no reason other than a decision to forego the project or recipe without trying them or perhaps I have just put them on the back burner for the time being and I don't want them staring at me from the list as a nagging reminder. This is just a fun way to keep track of what I am working on and it will remain as long as I find it useful.
The season is changing and preserving the harvest is nearing an end, my focus will soon change from "putting food by" to using the food in recipes and other small projects I have in mind for the colder days ahead. I am working on a post wrapping up this year's canning and preserving season, with photos of the pantry and my final (I think) food preservation for this year.
